Service Introduction:
Transfection refers to the process in which eukaryotic cells acquire new genetic markers due to the incorporation of foreign genetic material. Conventional transfection techniques can be divided into two categories: transient transfection and stable transfection. Among them, the transiently transfected exogenous DNA/RNA is not integrated into the host chromosome, so there can be multiple copy numbers in a host cell, resulting in high levels of expression, but usually only lasts for a few days. The stably transfected foreign genetic material is integrated into the host genome, and its progeny cells also have the genetic characteristics and phenotype of the parent, thereby forming a stable transfected cell line. The probability of integration of foreign DNA into the chromosome is very small, and it is usually necessary to pass some selective markers and repeatedly screen to obtain a stable transfected homologous cell line.
